Due to the heavy rainfall we had to change our plan.
We went to the Getty Museum.
Getty Museum
“The Getty” is located on the north side of LA in the mountains.
We parked our car for 20$ in the parking building and drove with a sweet monorail on top of a mountain. The entrance was free.
The Museum was spacious and we started in the north building and got into the east building.
The first painting my mother saw was one form Michelangelo. She lived in Italy with my dad but never really saw paintings of Michelangelo. She got emotional and really enjoyed the painting and the detail of it.
I’ve to admit I also really enjoyed the art I’ve seen form Michelangelo when I traveled around in Italy.

I really like Venice and how crowded it is portrayed.
The details can’t be captured with a photograph.

I’m just in love in the marbel statues. They’re sometimes older than 2000 years and still look so true to live.
The pure white marbel is magnificient but other types are interesting too.
The service was super nice. We got umbrellas because it was raining. All this for free.
After we went to the museum we were hungry and went to In N Out to eat some unhealthy burgers and fries.
It was still raining heavily. It is very uncommon. There wasn’t such a big hurricane since 84 years.
At 14:25 we experienced a earthquake with 6.0 intensity. It was just going on for a few seconds.

There is lots of homelessness. In German there is homelessness too but there are not many people living in tents. The stakes in the US are so high. You can earn so much but you can also lose so much. Because most things cost more than in Germany it is hard to start from the bottom.
In Germany we have social safety nets that prevent many people from homelessness.

We went to see the Barbie movie. It is a critique about the society we live in and work for. It talks about topics such as feminism and capitalism. I really enjoyed it. The movie takes place in LA like so many other movies.
