The Grand Canyon is vast. I thought the Grand Canyon was one big canyon with only one trench in the middle. I was wrong, there are really big mountains in the middle.

There are also other factors for the creation of the Grand Canyon at play. The effects of wind and of the movement of tectonic plates are not negligible.

The wildlife was not scared of humans at all. There were deer just meters away and crossing the street while not being bothered.

We’ve seen a big moose just a few meters away from a rather busy road. Here the wildlife is not as shy as I’m used to in Germany.
Grand Canyon Village is a nice place built for all the tourists. There are bus lanes and walking paths that connect the lodges together. It is very convenient to travel by bus. It’s also free.
