Today we went from LA to LV (Las Vegas).
I was sad to leave our house in LA it was so nice.
central house we stayed in
In the middle between LA and LV is a ghosttown. We visited the “Ghosttown”, which is just an abandoned mining village. People used to live there to mine silver by hand during the 17th and 18th century.
It is called Calico Ghosttown.
relaxing on the veranda
The weather was hot and the sun burnt on the skin. I walked from shadow to shadow.

We spent some time exploring the mines and the shops in the old houses. They tried to keep it authentic but also sell products in the old houses. Most of the houses are rebuilt and not original. It was hard to tell the difference for me.
Eventually we moved on to eat. We were in Peggy Sue’s 50’s Diner, which is supposed to be a good diner.

The trucks in Germany have a restriction of their length.
I really like the trucks in the US. They look more interesting and are not all the same.

There are big trees in the desert that look like cacti. They can get really big but when you look onto the desert they appear to be small because of the huge distances.
The so called Joshua trees can reach heights of up to 15m.

Electricity is cheap in the US. Gas prices are also cheap as you’ve read in my previous post.
I found it astonishing that they built a solar energy plant in the middle of the desert.
Ivanpah Solar Power Facility
In 2014, it was the world’s largest solar thermal power station.[11][12]
Eventually we arrived in Las Vegas.
The buildings are connected by passageways for the pedestrians. I found it astonishing that you could go along the strip ( the main street in LV) from building to building that are connects by bridges. You’ll see casinos shopping malls in every Hotel and all have their own custom theme that sets the vibe.
We stayed at Luxor. It has a egyptian theme.

Hallway from Luxor to Excalibur🗡️
After Excalibur there is New York. Here is an example of an open passageway from one hotel to the next.
Excalibur to New York🗽🎢
New York had a nice rollercoster. People were screaming in the looping.
New York in Las Vegas
We ended up eating in New York. The distances are not to be underestimated. The attention to detail is nice.

After eating two family sized pizzas with my parents I decided to take some Kratom. It is a legal drug in the US. I didn’t really want to take it because of the effect but rather to annoy my mom.

There was a water show. The Bellagio Fountain can shoot water 140m heigh in the air. It is huge. I’ve never seen such a big fountain. The fountain is located in a 3.4 ha manmade lake infront of the resort.

I really like Vegas. It is the playground for big guys. If you can dream it up you can create it no matter the cost. There are so many shows here and it is impossible to be bored here. It is glamorous.
