Today we flew to Las Vegas. There were some troubles with the luggage. We had to pay extra for all our luggage. It was in expensive flight for flying from STL to LAS.
Shaun drove us to the airport. He was so kind to drive two times because we wouldn’t have fit into the car all at once.
Se being cute
Arrival at the LAS airport
The airport is huge. We drove with the airport-train to the shuttle station from which we took a free bus to the car renting center. This experience was seamless and we didn’t wait or pay anything for transportation. We waited a little at the at the car rental center.
We rented a car. We asked which car we would get and were were answered “choose one”. We could choose from a variety of cars you can see in the picture below but in the end there were more or less the same.
choosing a car
We ended up choosing a blue Chevrolet (7 seater) that is visible in the left of the frame.
All the luggage is fitting inside of the trunk perfectly.

We drove to the strip in Vegas. For those who don’t have any Idea what Las Vegas is about here a small impression from me:
Vegas is for people who want to gamble. There are lots of tourist in Las Vegas. There are lots of themed hotels/casinos/attractions. Most of the property is owned by native americans. Las Vegas is the only city in which prostitution is legal.
Venetian
The water stretches out in the whole flat of the building and is surprisingly large
My sister took a nice photo.
Change on the ground in the water (even bills)
I really liked the Venetian theme. I recognized some of the buildings and remembered my times in Venice.
The overall feel and decoration of the themes are nicely done.
beautiful stucco
pillars
view out of Venetian
On the upper picture you can see a replica of the Rialto bridge on the left side of the frame. The original is in Venice. The funny thing is that it is americanized and that there are conveyor belts carrying the people over the bridge so they can just stand and don’t have to walk.
fireworks
slot machines
let’s lose some money
Sometime the whole streets get tinted in a neon color.

There are so many other big buildings with a interesting theme.
