The Gas price in Arizona (AZ) is 3.5\frac{\}{Gallon}5.5\frac{$}{Gallon}$ in CA right on the border. I did not understand why they would build gas stations near the border on the CA side. After we realized that we drove from the Californian side back to Arizona to fill up on gas.
On the road there were road closures and flooded roads.
This forced us to bypass closed roads and to make deviations to our plans. In the previous post I mentioned Hurricane Hilary and it was still going on.

I think it is interesting on how the powerlines are built here. Here there are several parallel powerlines built adjacent where in Europe there only would be one big to carry all the power.

The next photo is an illustration of what dimensions of roadsystems we’re dealing with in the USA and particularly in LA.
The next photo was taken 60 miles outside of LA and there were already a lot of highways. We didn’t experience any traffic jam even tho 30 million people live in greater area LA.

There was a car burning on the side of the road and it stank like there were heavy metals and plastic burning up.

There are so many fast food chains in the US. I have not heard about a chain that is in Germany but not in the US. We took a break at a Mc Donald’s.

I really liked the vibe of the city. There are so many palm trees and the weather is good most time of the year.

There are roads with palmtrees on the sidewalks.
We went to the walk of fame with the stars on the ground. There were interesting people walking around but mostly tourists.

I think the stars are unpersonal and not really honoring. You just get your name trampeled on and you don’t have the option to write something.

There are also handprints on the floor in front of the TLC Chinese Theater. It is more personal and funny. You can see prints of everything, be it a gun a pipe or a mouth imprint.
Most of the time the streets just look well decorated.
